رئيس جامعة السويس يعلن : تقدم الجامعة عالميًا في تصنيف شنغهاي للتخصصات 2026

أعلن أ.د. أشــــــــــرف حنيجــــــــــل رئيـــــس جامعـــــة السويـــــس عن إنجاز جديد للجامعة بحضورها الأكاديمي والبحثي على الساحة الدولية، بعد ظهورها في تصنيف شنغهاي العالمي للتخصصات الأكاديمية لعام 2026 (ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects – GRAS 2026)، بما يعكس التطور المتواصل الذي تشهده الجامعة في مجالات التعليم والبحث العلمي والنشر الدولي، والجهود المستمرة للارتقاء بمستوى الأداء الأكاديمي والبحثي وفقًا للمعايير الدولية.
وأوضح رئيس الجامعة أن نتائج التصنيف أظهرت استمرار تميز الجامعة في تخصص هندسة الفلزات (Metallurgical Engineering)، حيث حافظت الجامعة على وجودها ضمن الفئة 201–300 عالميًا للعام الثاني على التوالي، بما يؤكد استدامة الأداء البحثي المتميز للجامعة في هذا التخصص، وما تمتلكه من رصيد متنامٍ من الإنتاج العلمي والبحثي والتعاون الأكاديمي الدولي.
كما أشار “حنيجــــــــــل” الي أن تصنيف هذا العام قد شهد إنجازًا جديدًا لجامعة السويس بدخول تخصص الهندسة المدنية (Civil Engineering) التصنيف العالمي للمرة الأولى، حيث جاءت الجامعة ضمن الفئة 301–400 عالميًا، وهو ما يمثل إضافة جديدة إلى الحضور الدولي للجامعة في التخصصات الهندسية، ويعكس اتساع نطاق التميز البحثي والأكاديمي بالجامعة.
وأعرب رئيس الجامعة عن سعادته بهذا الإنجاز الكبير مؤكدا على أنه ثمرة جهد قتم به كافة المسئولين عن هذا القطاع، موجها التحية للاستاذ الدكتور/ شريف فهمي القائم بأعمال نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون الدراسات العليا والبحوث، أ.د. عادل محمد عامر مدير وحدة التصنيف الدولي بالجامعة والسادة أعضاء الوحدة، تقديرًا لما يبذلونه من جهود متواصلة في متابعة مؤشرات الأداء الأكاديمي والبحثي، وتحليل متطلبات التصنيفات الدولية، والعمل على تطوير وتحسين مكانة الجامعة في التصنيفات العالمية، مؤكدًا أن هذه الجهود تمثل جزءًا مهمًا من منظومة العمل المؤسسي التي تقودها الجامعة نحو تعزيز تنافسيتها الدولية.
كما وجّه أ.د. رئيس الجامعة الشكر والتقدير إلى جميع أعضاء هيئة التدريس والباحثين بجامعة السويس، لما يقدمونه من جهود علمية وبحثية متميزة، وما يسهمون به من إنتاج علمي ونشر دولي وتعاون بحثي، مؤكدًا أن ما تحققه الجامعة من حضور متزايد في التصنيفات الدولية هو نتاج مباشر لتضافر جهود منظومة الجامعة بأكملها.
ويُعد تصنيف شنغهاي العالمي للتخصصات الأكاديمية (ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects – GRAS) أحد التصنيفات الدولية المتخصصة في تقييم أداء الجامعات على مستوى التخصصات الأكاديمية، ويقدم مقارنة دولية لأداء المؤسسات الجامعية في تخصصات محددة، بدلًا من الاقتصار على التقييم العام للجامعة.
ويشمل إصدار عام 2026 تصنيف الجامعات في 57 تخصصًا أكاديميًا موزعة على مجالات العلوم الطبيعية، والهندسة، وعلوم الحياة، والعلوم الطبية، والعلوم الاجتماعية، ويعتمد على مجموعة من المؤشرات الموضوعية المرتبطة بالأداء الأكاديمي والبحثي، بما يسمح بقياس جوانب مختلفة من التميز العلمي والتأثير البحثي للجامعات في تخصصاتها المختلفة.

President of Suez University Announces: University Advances Globally in ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2026

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heneigal, President of Suez University, announced a new achievement for the university, marked by its growing academic and research presence on the international stage following its inclusion in ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2026. This achievement reflects the university’s continued development in education, scientific research, and international publication, as well as its ongoing efforts to enhance academic and research performance in accordance with international standards.
The University President explained that the ranking results demonstrated the university’s continued excellence in Metallurgical Engineering, in which Suez University maintained its position within the 201–300 range worldwide for the second consecutive year. This achievement confirms the sustainability of the university’s strong research performance in the field, as well as its growing body of scholarly and research output and international academic collaboration.
Prof. Heneigal also noted that this year’s ranking marked a new achievement for Suez University with the first-ever inclusion of Civil Engineering in the global ranking. The university was placed within the 301–400 range worldwide, representing a new addition to its international presence in engineering disciplines and reflecting the expanding scope of academic and research excellence across the university.
The University President expressed his delight at this significant achievement, emphasizing that it is the result of the collective efforts of all those responsible for this sector. He extended his appreciation to Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmy, Acting Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Adel Mohamed Amer, Director of the University’s International Rankings Unit; and all members of the Unit, in recognition of their continuous efforts to monitor academic and research performance indicators, analyze the requirements of international rankings, and work to develop and improve the university’s position in global rankings. He stressed that these efforts constitute an important part of the institutional work system through which the university seeks to strengthen its international competitiveness.
Prof. Dr. Heneigal also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to all faculty members and researchers at Suez University for their distinguished academic and research contributions, including scholarly production, international publication, and research collaboration. He emphasized that the university’s growing presence in international rankings is a direct result of the concerted efforts of the university community as a whole.
ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) is one of the international rankings specializing in evaluating university performance at the level of individual academic disciplines. It provides an international comparison of institutional performance in specific fields rather than limiting assessment to the overall performance of a university.
The 2026 edition ranks universities across 57 academic subjects distributed among the fields of natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences, and social sciences. It relies on a set of objective indicators related to academic and research performance, enabling the assessment of different dimensions of universities’ scholarly excellence and research impact across their respective disciplines.
