نظمت جامعة السويس صباح اليوم احتفالها السنوي بعيد العلم الرابع، برعاية وحضور أ.د/ أشـــــرف حنيجـــــل رئيــــس الجامعــــة، وبمشاركة أ.د/ ماهـــــــر عبدالفتــــاح مصبــــاح أمين المجلس الأعلى للجامعات الأهلية ورئيس جامعة السويس الأسبق، وتحت إشراف الأستاذ الدكتور شريف فهمي القائم بأعمال نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون الدراسات العليا والبحوث، السادة أ.د. عزالدين حسيني جاد نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون التعليم والطلاب، أ.د. أسامة قدور القائم بأعمال نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، والسادة أعضاء هيئة التدريس والباحثين بالجامعة.
استهل رئيس الجامعة كلمته بالترحيب بالحضور الكريم من عمداء الكليات وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والباحثين الشباب، مؤكدًا أن عيد العلم ليس مجرد مناسبة احتفالية، بل هو رسالة تقدير لكل جهد علمي، وإعلان تأكيد العهد الذي يضع العلم والبحث والمعرفة في صدارة أولويات الجامعة. مؤكدا على أن اليوم ليس مجرد احتفالية، بل هو رسالة تقدير لكل جهد علمي، وإعلان تجديد العهد الذي يضع العلم والبحث والمعرفة في صدارة أولويات الجامعة.
وأشار “حنيجــــــــــل” إلى أن البحث العلمي ليس ترفًا فكريًا، بل ضرورة استراتيجية لمواجهة تحديات العصر، وأن جامعة السويس تؤمن بأن المعرفة هي القوة الحقيقية، وأن الباحث هو صانع الأمل وصاحب الحلول. وأوضح أن الجامعة استحدثت عددًا من الجوائز المخصصة للتميز في البحث العلمي وزادت من قيمتها لتكون حافزًا إضافيًا للباحثين، تعبيرًا عن امتنان الجامعة لعلمائها وتقديرًا لما يبذلونه من جهد وعلم يسهم في رفع اسم الجامعة عاليًا ودعم مسيرة النهضة المصرية.
وأكد “رئيس الجامعة” أن هذا الاهتمام يأتي متسقًا مع رؤية الدولة المصرية بقيادة فخامة السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي رئيـــــس الجمهورية، الذي أولى العلم والابتكار مكانة رفيعة، ووجّه بأن يكون البحث العلمي ركيزة أساسية في بناء الجمهورية الجديدة. كما أشار إلى أن وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي بقيادة أ.د عبد العزيز قنصوة تعمل على ترجمة هذه التوجيهات إلى سياسات عملية، من خلال دعم الجامعات والباحثين وتعزيز التعاون الدولي، بما يضمن لمصر موقعًا متقدمًا على خريطة البحث العلمي عالميًا.
وأشار “حنيجــــل” الى أن جامعة السويس تؤمن بأن الباحث هو صانع الأمل وصاحب الحلول، وأن كل ورقة بحثية أو فكرة مبتكرة تمثل لبنة في بناء وطن قوي قادر على المنافسة عالميًا.
كما أعلن “رئيس الجامعة” عن زيادة قيمة الجوائز العلمية المخصصة للنشر الدولي والتميز البحثي، لتكون حافزًا إضافيًا للباحثين، مؤكدًا أن هذه الجوائز تعبير صادق عن امتنان الجامعة لعلمائها.
وفي كلمته أكد أ.د. ماهر مصباح رئيس جامعة السويس الأسبق وأمين المجلس الأعلى للجامعات الأهلية، خلال الاحتفال بعيد العلم على شكره وتقديره لرئيس الجامعة لدعمه المستمر لمسيرة العلم والبحث، مشددًا على أن العمل والاجتهاد هما الركيزة الأساسية لتحقيق النجاح في الحياة. وأوضح أن تشجيع البحث العلمي يمثل الطريق الأمثل لبناء مجتمع متقدم قادر على مواجهة التحديات وصناعة المستقبل، داعيًا أبناء الجامعة إلى مواصلة السعي نحو التميز والإبداع.
وقد قدم أ.د/ شريف فهمي القائم بأعمال نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون الدراسات العليا والبحوث، إلى جانب أ.د/ ياسر أمون شرابي مدير وحدة النشر الدولي، أ.د/ عادل عامر مدير وحدة التصنيف الدولي، عرضًا تقديميًا بعنوان: “جامعة السويس على خريطة التميز العالمي: قراءة استراتيجية في التصنيفات والنشر العلمي (2021–2025)”.
هذا العرض وضع بين أيدي الحضور رؤية متكاملة حول موقع الجامعة في التصنيفات الدولية، وكشف عن الجهود المبذولة لتعزيز النشر العلمي المتميز، بما يعكس قوة البحث الأكاديمي في جامعة السويس، ويؤكد سعيها الدائم لتبوؤ مكانة متقدمة على خريطة التميز العالمي.
وقد شهد الحفل تكريم نخبة من العلماء والباحثين الذين أسهموا في رفع اسم الجامعة عاليًا، حيث جاءت الجوائز على النحو التالي:

▪︎ جائزة جامعة السويس للتفوق في المجال العلمي: د. أحمد محمد الدسوقي – أستاذ مساعد الجيوفيزياء بكلية العلوم.
▪︎ جائزة المرأة الباحثة: مناصفة بين أ.د رشا مصطفى كامل (كلية العلوم) وأ.د رحاب معتصم المغربي (كلية هندسة البترول والتعدين).
▪︎ جائزة جامعة السويس التشجيعية: د. محمد إبراهيم عبدالحكيم – أستاذ مساعد بقسم الميكانيكا. بكلية التكنولوجيا والتعليم
▪︎ جائزة أفضل بحث تطبيقي: مناصفة بين د. إيمان مصطفى إبراهيم، د. نور باسم فرحات – كلية التكنولوجيا والتعليم.
▪︎ جائزة شباب الباحثين: د. خالد فيصل محمود قاسم – كلية العلوم.

Suez University Celebrates Its Fourth Science Day Under the Patronage of the University President

Suez University organized its Fourth Annual Science Day celebration this morning under the patronage and attendance of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of the University. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Maher Abdel Fattah Mesbah, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Private and National Universities and former President of Suez University, and was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmy, Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research. Also present were Prof. Dr. Ezz El-Din Husseini Gad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr. Osama Kaddour, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; as well as faculty members and researchers from across the university.
In his opening remarks, the University President welcomed the distinguished guests, including deans, faculty members, and young researchers. He emphasized that Science Day is not merely a celebratory occasion but a message of appreciation for every scientific effort and a reaffirmation of the university’s commitment to placing science, research, and knowledge at the forefront of its priorities. He stressed that the event serves as both recognition of academic achievements and a renewal of the university’s dedication to advancing research and innovation.
Prof. Dr. Heniegal noted that scientific research is not an intellectual luxury but a strategic necessity for addressing contemporary challenges. He affirmed that Suez University believes knowledge is the true source of power and that researchers are the architects of hope and providers of solutions. He explained that the university has introduced several awards dedicated to excellence in scientific research and has increased their monetary value to provide additional motivation for researchers. These awards reflect the university’s gratitude to its scholars and recognition of their contributions to elevating the university’s reputation and supporting Egypt’s development journey.
The University President further stated that this commitment aligns with the vision of the Egyptian state under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who has given science and innovation a prominent place and has emphasized that scientific research should be a cornerstone in building the New Republic. He also highlighted the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, led by Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, in translating this vision into practical policies through supporting universities, empowering researchers, and strengthening international cooperation, thereby enhancing Egypt’s position on the global scientific research map.
Prof. Dr. Heniegal reiterated that Suez University believes researchers are makers of hope and solutions, and that every research paper and innovative idea represents a building block in creating a strong nation capable of competing globally.
He also announced an increase in the value of scientific awards dedicated to international publication and research excellence, describing them as a sincere expression of the university’s appreciation for its scholars.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Maher Mesbah, former President of Suez University and Secretary of the Supreme Council of Private and National Universities, expressed his gratitude to the University President for his continuous support of science and research. He emphasized that dedication and hard work are the foundation of success in life and that encouraging scientific research is the most effective path toward building an advanced society capable of meeting challenges and shaping the future. He encouraged members of the university community to continue striving for excellence and innovation.
During the celebration, Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmy, Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, together with **Prof. Dr. Yasser Amon Sharaby**, Director of the International Publishing Unit, and **Prof. Dr. Adel Amer**, Director of the International Ranking Unit, delivered a presentation entitled:
**“Suez University on the Global Excellence Map: A Strategic Reading of Rankings and Scientific Publishing (2021–2025)”**
The presentation provided attendees with a comprehensive overview of the university’s standing in international rankings and highlighted the efforts undertaken to enhance high-quality scientific publishing. It reflected the strength of academic research at Suez University and reaffirmed its ongoing pursuit of a distinguished position on the global map of excellence.
The celebration also honored a distinguished group of scientists and researchers whose contributions have enhanced the university’s academic reputation. The awards were presented as follows:
* **Suez University Pioneer Award:** Prof. Dr. Maher Mesbah – Former President of Suez University and Secretary of the Supreme Council of Private Universities.
* **Suez University Appreciation Award:** Prof. Dr. Adel Mohamed Amer – Professor of Metallurgical Engineering and Advanced Materials.
* **Suez University Award for Excellence in Science:** Dr. Ahmed Mohamed El-Desouky – Associate Professor of Geophysics, Faculty of Science.
* **Women Researcher Award:** Shared by Prof. Dr. Rasha Mostafa Kamel (Faculty of Science) and Prof. Dr. Rehab Moatasem El-Maghraby (Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering).
* **Suez University Encouragement Award:** Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Abdelhakim – Associate Professor, Department of Mechanics, Faculty of Technology and Education.
* **Best Applied Research Award:** Shared by Dr. Eman Mostafa Ibrahim and Dr. Nour Bassem Farhat, Faculty of Technology and Education.
* **Young Researchers Award:** Dr. Khaled Faisal Mahmoud Qassem – Faculty of Science.
* **Best Doctoral Dissertation Award:** Dr. Fatma Mahmoud Ibrahim – Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering.
* **Best Master’s Thesis Award:** Researcher Norhan El-Iraqi Hassan El-Sayed – Faculty of Science.
The faculties with the highest scientific publication output were also recognized:

* Second Place: Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering
* Third Place: Faculty of Technology and Education
The ceremony concluded with commemorative photographs that reflected the spirit of pride and appreciation for the university’s scientific achievements.
