استقبل صباح اليوم مجلس جامعة السويس برئاسة أ.د. أشرف حنيجل رئيس الجامعة، معالي الوزير اللواء أ.ح هاني رشاد علي محافظ السويس، حيث رحّب رئيس الجامعة بزيارة معالي المحافظ وهنأه بمناسبة حلول عيد الأضحى المبارك، مشيدًا بجهوده الحثيثة في مكافحة الفساد والمخالفات داخل المحافظة.
واستعرض رئيس الجامعة نشاط الجامعة خلال الشهر الماضي، متوقفًا عند زيارته لجامعة شنغهاي الصينية واجتماعاته مع شركة تيدا وجامعة تيانجين الصينية، مؤكدًا أن هذه الشراكات الدولية تمثل خطوة مهمة نحو تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي والبحثي.
كما تناول رئيس الجامعة الموقف الحالي للمستشفى الجامعي باعتبارها أحد أدوات خدمة المجتمع السويسي في قطاع الصحة، مشيرا إلى أن نسبة الجاهزية ستصل إلى 100% مع بداية يوليو المقبل، حيث سيتم تشغيل الغسيل الكلوي والحضانات بالإضافة الى ١٧ عيادة تعمل بالفعل، إضافة إلى قوافل طب الأسنان والطب البشري الموجهة للمناطق الأكثر احتياجًا بالتنسيق مع المحافظة.
كما شهد الاجتماع إشادة خاصة بتحقيق كلية التكنولوجيا والتعليم الاعتماد المؤسسي، وهو إنجاز يعكس التزام الكلية بمعايير الجودة والتميز الأكاديمي. وأكد رئيس الجامعة على ضرورة أن تسير باقي كليات الجامعة على نفس النهج، مشددًا على أهمية الإسراع في استكمال متطلبات الاعتماد المؤسسي لضمان الارتقاء بمستوى الأداء الأكاديمي والبحثي، بما يعزز مكانة جامعة السويس بين الجامعات المصرية والدولية.
من جانبه، عبّر معالي الوزير المحافظ عن شكره لمجلس الجامعة رئيسًا ونوابًا وأعضاء، مهنئًا الجميع بعيد الأضحى المبارك، ومؤكدًا حرصه على حضور اجتماع المجلس وسط هذه الكوكبة من رواد العلم، باعتبار الجامعة أحد أهم أعمدة التنوير الواعدة في مصر.
وأوضح “رشــــــــاد” أن المحافظة تقود حملات مكثفة لمواجهة كافة أوجه الفساد، خاصة في مجال الغذاء، حيث تم ضبط العديد من المخالفات المتعلقة باللحوم والدواجن.
وأكد المحافظ أن مستشفى جامعة السويس ستكون إضافة نوعية لمنظومة الصحة في المحافظة، مشددًا على أن الصحة والتعليم هما أساس بناء المواطن القادر على المنافسة عالميًا. كما ثمّن جهود رئيس الجامعة في عقد شراكات مع مؤسسات وجامعات صينية، معلنًا دعم المحافظة الكامل للمستشفى الجامعي.
واستأنف المجلس فعالياته بمناقشة موضوعات متعلقة بشئون التعليم والطلاب والدراسات العليا وخدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، إضافة إلى الترقيات وشئون أعضاء هيئة التدريس.

This morning, the Council of Suez University, chaired by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of the University, received H.E. Major General Hany Rashad Ali, Governor of Suez. The University President welcomed the Governor’s visit and congratulated him on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha, praising his diligent efforts in combating corruption and violations across the governorate.
The University President reviewed the university’s activities during the past month, highlighting his visit to Shanghai University and his meetings with TEDA and Tianjin University, emphasizing that these international partnerships represent an important step toward strengthening academic and research cooperation.
Prof. Heniegal also addressed the current status of the university hospital as one of the university’s tools for serving the community of Suez in the healthcare sector. He noted that the hospital’s readiness rate will reach 100% by the beginning of next July, with the operation of dialysis units and neonatal incubators in addition to 17 clinics already functioning. He also referred to dental and medical convoys directed to the areas most in need in coordination with the governorate.
The meeting also witnessed special recognition of the Faculty of Technology and Education for achieving institutional accreditation, an accomplishment reflecting the faculty’s commitment to quality standards and academic excellence. The University President stressed the necessity for the university’s other faculties to follow the same path, emphasizing the importance of expediting the completion of institutional accreditation requirements to enhance academic and research performance and strengthen Suez University’s standing among Egyptian and international universities.
For his part, the Governor expressed his gratitude to the University Council, including its president, vice presidents, and members, congratulating everyone on Eid al-Adha and affirming his keenness to attend the council meeting among this distinguished group of pioneers of knowledge, considering the university one of Egypt’s most promising pillars of enlightenment.
“Rashad” explained that the governorate is leading intensive campaigns to confront all forms of corruption, particularly in the food sector, where numerous violations related to meat and poultry products have been detected.
The Governor further affirmed that the Suez University Hospital will constitute a qualitative addition to the healthcare system in the governorate, stressing that health and education are the foundation for building citizens capable of competing globally. He also praised the University President’s efforts in establishing partnerships with Chinese institutions and universities, announcing the governorate’s full support for the university hospital.
The council then resumed its sessions by discussing matters related to education and student affairs, postgraduate studies, community service and environmental development, as well as promotions and faculty affairs.
