برعاية أ.د. أشــــــــــرف حنيجــــــــــل رئيـــــس جامعـــــة السويـــــس،، وإشراف أ.د. شذا حماد عميد كلية طب الأسنان، نظمت الكلية قافلتين طبيتين ضمن خطتها لخدمة المجتمع المحلي وتعزيز الوعي الصحي.
القافلة الأولى توجهت إلى مدرسة عبدالرحمن بن عوف بالجناين، حيث قام الفريق الطبي بالكشف على التلاميذ وتقديم التوعية الصحية حول الوقاية من أمراض الفم والأسنان.
أما القافلة الثانية فقد أقيمت في المستشفى العام بالسويس، حيث أشرف أعضاء هيئة التدريس وطلاب الامتياز على إجراء الكشف والفحص الطبي للمرضى، مع تحويل الحالات التي تحتاج إلى مزيد من العلاج إلى عيادات الكلية، وذلك بالتعاون مع مديرية الصحة بالسويس. كما تم توزيع معاجين الأسنان على المرضى المترددين على المستشفى في إطار نشر ثقافة الوقاية والعناية بصحة الفم.
وفي تصريح له، أعرب أ.د. أشرف حنيجل رئيس الجامعة عن بالغ تقديره وفخره بما قدمه فريق كلية طب الأسنان من جهود متميزة في تنظيم القوافل الطبية، موجهاً الشكر لأعضاء هيئة التدريس وطلاب الامتياز المشاركين، ومؤكداً أن هذه المبادرات تعكس رسالة الجامعة في خدمة المجتمع وتقديم الدعم الصحي المباشر للمواطنين.
من جانبها، أكدت أ.د. شذا حماد عميد الكلية أن هذه القوافل تأتي ضمن خطة الكلية لتكثيف الأنشطة المجتمعية وربط العملية التعليمية بخدمة المجتمع، مشيدة بدور الطلاب في المشاركة الفعالة وتقديم الخدمات الطبية.

Faculty of Dentistry at Suez University Organizes Two Medical Convoys to Serve the Community

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mohamed Heniegal, President of Suez University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shaza Hammad, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, the faculty organized two medical convoys as part of its plan to serve the local community and promote health awareness.
The first convoy headed to Abdelrahman Ibn Awf School in El-Ganayen, where the medical team conducted examinations for students and provided health awareness sessions on the prevention of oral and dental diseases.
The second convoy was held at Suez General Hospital, where faculty members and internship students supervised medical examinations and check-ups for patients. Cases requiring further treatment were referred to the faculty’s clinics, in cooperation with the Suez Directorate of Health. Toothpaste was also distributed to patients visiting the hospital as part of efforts to promote a culture of prevention and oral health care.
In a statement, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of the University, expressed his deep appreciation and pride in the distinguished efforts of the Faculty of Dentistry team in organizing the medical convoys. He extended his thanks to the faculty members and internship students who participated, emphasizing that these initiatives reflect the university’s mission of community service and the provision of direct healthcare support to citizens.
For her part, Prof. Dr. Shaza Hammad, Dean of the Faculty, affirmed that these convoys are part of the faculty’s plan to intensify community engagement activities and to link the educational process with community service, praising the active role of students in delivering medical services.
