عقد مجلس جامعة السويس اجتماعه الشهري برئاسة أ.د. أشــــــــــرف حنيجــــــــــل رئيس الجامعة، وبحضور معالي الوزير اللواء أ.ح/ هانـــــــي رشـــــــاد علـــــــي محافظ السويس، وذلك لمناقشة عدد من الموضوعات المتعلقة بالعملية التعليمية والبحثية وخطط الجامعة التنموية وخدمة المجتمع.

واستهل “أ.د. رئيس الجامعة” أعمال الجلسة بالترحيب بمعالي الوزير المحافظ، معرباً عن تقديره لحرصه على حضور اجتماع مجلس الجامعة، بما يعكس حجم التعاون والتنسيق المستمر بين الجامعة ومحافظة السويس في مختلف المجالات التنموية والخدمية.

 

وخلال الجلسة، بعث مجلس الجامعة برقية تهنئة إلى فخامة السيد الرئيس عبدالفتــــــــــاح السيــــســــــــــي رئيــــس الجمهوريــــة القائــــد الأعلــــى للقــــوات المسلحــــة بمناسبة الاحتفال بذكرى ثورة الثالث والعشرين من يوليو المجيدة، مؤكداً اعتزازه بهذه المناسبة الوطنية الخالدة التي تمثل محطة فارقة في تاريخ الوطن وتجسد قيم الإرادة الوطنية والعمل من أجل بناء الدولة المصرية الحديثة.

 

واستعرض “حنيجــــــــــل” أبرز أنشطة الجامعة وإنجازاتها خلال الفترة الماضية، مشيراً إلى استمرار الجامعة في تنفيذ خططها الاستراتيجية الرامية إلى تطوير العملية التعليمية والبحثية وتعزيز دورها المجتمعي بما يتواكب مع رؤية الدولة المصرية للتنمية المستدامة.

كما تناول “رئيس الجامعة” أوجه التعاون المثمر بين الجامعة ومحافظة السويس في مختلف القطاعات، مؤكداً أن هذا التعاون أسفر عن العديد من النتائج الإيجابية التي انعكست على الخدمات المقدمة للمواطنين، لاسيما في القطاع الصحي.

 

وأشار إلى أن من أبرز ثمار هذا التعاون دخول المستشفى الجامعي بجامعة السويس الخدمة، وما تقدمه من خدمات طبية وعلاجية متميزة لأبناء المحافظة والمحافظات المجاورة، بما يسهم في دعم المنظومة الصحية وتخفيف العبء عن المواطنين، فضلاً عن دورها في تدريب طلاب القطاع الطبي وتأهيلهم وفق أحدث المعايير العلمية والمهنية.

 

وأعلن “رئيس الجامعة” خلال الاجتماع استضافة جامعة السويس لاجتماع المجلس الأعلى للجامعات نهاية الشهر المقبل، مؤكداً أن اختيار الجامعة لاستضافة هذا الحدث الأكاديمي المهم يعكس ما وصلت إليه من مكانة متميزة بين الجامعات المصرية وما تشهده من تطور مستمر في مختلف المجالات. كما أعلن عن استعدادات الجامعة لتنظيم النسخة الثانية من مهرجان “طرب” بعد النجاح الذي حققته النسخة الأولى، في إطار اهتمام الجامعة بالأنشطة الثقافية والفنية ودعم المواهب الطلابية وصقل قدراتهم الإبداعية.

 

ومن جانبه، أعرب معالي الوزير اللواء أ.ح/ هاني رشاد علي محافظ السويس عن سعادته بحضور اجتماع مجلس الجامعة، إيماناً منه بأهمية الدور الذي يقوم به الشباب الجامعي في بناء الوعي المجتمعي والمساهمة في تعديل السلوكيات داخل الشارع المصري، مؤكداً أن الجامعات تعد شريكاً رئيسياً في صناعة أجيال واعية وقادرة على تحمل المسؤولية الوطنية.

ودعا السيد المحافظ إلى توسيع نطاق مشاركة الشباب الجامعي في المبادرات المجتمعية والتنموية والمبادرات الرئاسية المختلفة، بما يسهم في تنمية روح الانتماء والولاء للوطن وتعزيز ثقافة العمل التطوعي وخدمة المجتمع، مؤكداً استعداده للمشاركة شخصياً في العديد من الفعاليات والأنشطة التي تنظمها الجامعة، وخاصة الماراثونات والأنشطة الرياضية والمجتمعية مثل النظافة والتجميل، التي تستهدف رفع الوعي وتعزيز التواصل مع المواطنين.

 

كما أعرب “محافظ السويس” عن فخره واعتزازه بما شاهده من تقدم وتميز داخل جامعة السويس خلال السنوات الأخيرة، مشيداً بحجم التطور الذي تشهده الجامعة على المستويات الأكاديمية والبحثية والخدمية، ومؤكداً أن هذا المستوى يدعو للفخر، بل ويجعله يتمنى لو حظي بفرصة الدراسة بين أروقة الجامعة والاستفادة من الإمكانات الكبيرة التي توفرها لطلابها.

 

ورحب “رشـــــــاد” باستضافة جامعة السويس لاجتماع المجلس الأعلى للجامعات نهاية الشهر المقبل، مؤكداً أن انعقاد هذا الحدث المهم داخل الجامعة يعد دليلاً واضحاً على المكانة المرموقة التي باتت تحتلها جامعة السويس بين الجامعات المصرية، ويعكس ما حققته من نجاحات وإنجازات خلال السنوات الماضية.

 

وفي ختام الاجتماع، أكد مجلس الجامعة حرصه على مواصلة دعم مختلف المبادرات والمشروعات التي تخدم المجتمع وتلبي احتياجات المواطنين، مشيداً بالتعاون البناء بين الجامعة والأجهزة التنفيذية بمحافظة السويس، بما يعزز دور الجامعة كبيت للخبرة وشريك رئيسي في جهود التنمية بالمحافظة.

 

وخلال الاجتماع واصل “مجلس الجامعة” مناقشة عدد من الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال، واتخاذ القرارات اللازمة بشأن شئون التعليم والطلاب والدراسات العليا والبحوث والعلاقات الثقافية وخدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، إلى جانب متابعة الموقف التنفيذي للمشروعات الجارية وخطط التطوير بمختلف قطاعات الجامعة. كما أكد المجلس استمراره في دعم جهود الارتقاء بالمنظومة التعليمية والبحثية، وتعزيز دور الجامعة في خدمة المجتمع والمساهمة الفاعلة في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة ورؤية الدولة المصرية لبناء الجمهورية الجديدة.

The Suez University Council held its monthly meeting under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of Suez University, and in the presence of Major General Hany Rashad Ali, Governor of Suez, to discuss a number of issues related to the educational and research process, the University’s development plans, and community service.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal welcomed the Governor, expressing his appreciation for his attendance at the University Council meeting, which reflects the strong spirit of cooperation and continuous coordination between Suez University and the Suez Governorate across various developmental and public service sectors.

 

During the session, the University Council sent a congratulatory message to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on the anniversary of the Glorious 23 July Revolution. The Council reaffirmed its pride in this historic national occasion, which represents a pivotal milestone in Egypt’s history and embodies the values of national determination and the collective effort to build the modern Egyptian state.

 

Prof. Dr. Heniegal reviewed the University’s most significant activities and achievements over the recent period, emphasizing the University’s continued implementation of its strategic plans aimed at advancing education and scientific research while strengthening its role in serving the community, in line with Egypt’s vision for sustainable development.

 

The University President also highlighted the fruitful cooperation between Suez University and the Suez Governorate across various sectors, noting that this partnership has produced numerous positive outcomes that have enhanced the quality of services provided to citizens, particularly in the healthcare sector.

 

He pointed out that one of the most notable achievements of this cooperation is the operation of the Suez University Hospital, which now provides distinguished medical and healthcare services to residents of Suez and neighboring governorates. The hospital also plays a vital role in strengthening the healthcare system, alleviating the burden on citizens, and providing high-quality clinical training for students in the medical disciplines in accordance with the latest scientific and professional standards.

 

During the meeting, the University President announced that Suez University will host the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities at the end of next month. He stated that the University’s selection to host this important academic event reflects its distinguished standing among Egyptian universities and the continuous progress it has achieved in various fields.

 

He also announced the University’s preparations for organizing the second edition of the “Tarab” Festival, following the remarkable success of its inaugural edition. The festival is part of the University’s commitment to promoting cultural and artistic activities, supporting talented students, and nurturing their creative abilities.

 

For his part, Major General Hany Rashad Ali, Governor of Suez, expressed his pleasure at attending the University Council meeting, emphasizing his firm belief in the vital role university students play in promoting societal awareness and contributing to positive behavioral change within Egyptian society. He stressed that universities are key partners in preparing enlightened generations capable of assuming national responsibility.

 

The Governor called for expanding university students’ participation in community development initiatives and various presidential initiatives to foster a stronger sense of national belonging and loyalty while promoting the values of volunteerism and community service. He also affirmed his personal readiness to participate in many of the University’s activities and events, particularly marathons, sports programs, and community initiatives such as cleanliness and beautification campaigns aimed at raising public awareness and strengthening engagement with citizens.

 

Governor Hany Rashad Ali further expressed his pride and admiration for the remarkable progress achieved by Suez University in recent years. He praised the University’s impressive academic, research, and community service accomplishments, describing its development as a source of pride and adding that he wished he had had the opportunity to study at the University and benefit from the outstanding educational environment and facilities it offers its students.

 

The Governor also welcomed Suez University’s hosting of the Supreme Council of Universities meeting at the end of next month, emphasizing that this important event serves as clear evidence of the University’s prestigious position among Egyptian universities and reflects the significant achievements it has accomplished over recent years.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the University Council reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives and projects that serve the community and address citizens’ needs. The Council praised the constructive cooperation between Suez University and the executive authorities of Suez Governorate, emphasizing the University’s role as a center of expertise and a key partner in advancing sustainable development within the governorate.

 

The Council then continued discussing the items on its agenda and adopted the necessary decisions concerning education and student affairs, postgraduate studies and research, cultural relations, community service, and environmental development. The meeting also reviewed the implementation status of ongoing projects and development plans across the University’s various sectors. The Council reiterated its commitment to further enhancing the educational and research systems while strengthening the University’s role in serving society and contributing effectively to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt’s vision for building the New Republic.
