رئيس جامعة السويس يهنئ أسرة الجامعة بالظهور الأول في تصنيف UI GreenMetric العالمي
جامعة السويس تحقق المركز 23 مصريًا والمركز 911 عالميًا في ظهورها الأول

أعرب أ.د.أشــــــــــرف حنيجــــــــــل رئيـــــس جامعـــــة السويـــــس عن خالص تهنئته واعتزازه بالظهور لأول مرة لجامعة السويس في تصنيف UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026، حيث حققت الجامعة المركز 23 على مستوى الجامعات المصرية من بين 47 جامعة مصرية مشاركة، والمركز 911 على مستوى جامعات العالم.
ويُعد UI GreenMetric World University Rankings أحد التصنيفات الدولية التي تهتم بتقييم جهود الجامعات في مجال الاستدامة، من خلال مجموعة من المؤشرات التي تشمل البنية التحتية والبيئة، والطاقة والتغير المناخي، وإدارة المخلفات، والمياه، والنقل، والتعليم والبحث العلمي في مجال الاستدامة.
وأكد رئيس الجامعة أن هذا الظهور الأول يمثل خطوة جديدة في مسيرة جامعة السويس نحو تعزيز مكانتها الدولية وترسيخ ممارسات الاستدامة داخل الجامعة، مشيرًا إلى أن تحقيق هذا الإنجاز يأتي ثمرة لجهود متكاملة في مختلف قطاعات الجامعة وكلياتها وإداراتها.
وفي هذه المناسبة، وجه رئيـــــس الجامعـــــة خالص الشكر والتقدير إلى أ.د. شريف فهمي نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون الدراسات العليا والبحوث، على دعمه ومساندته لجهود الجامعة في مجال الاستدامة والتصنيف الدولي، كما وجه الشكر إلى أ.د. عادل عامر مدير وحدة التصنيف وأعضاء وحدة التصنيف، تقديرًا لما بذلوه من جهد في إعداد وتجميع وتوثيق البيانات والمؤشرات اللازمة للمشاركة في التصنيف.
كما أعرب رئيس الجامعة عن تقديره وامتنانه لجميع أعضاء هيئة التدريس والهيئة المعاونة والعاملين بجامعة السويس، مؤكدًا أن هذا الإنجاز لم يكن ليتحقق إلا من خلال تضافر جهود أسرة الجامعة بالكامل، وما تبذله من عمل مستمر للارتقاء بمستوى الأداء الأكاديمي والإداري والبيئي والمؤسسي.
واختتم رئيس الجامعة تصريحاته بالتأكيد على أن الظهور الأول في تصنيف UI GreenMetric يمثل بداية لمسار مستمر نحو تحسين مؤشرات الاستدامة وتعزيز الحضور الدولي للجامعة، بما يتماشى مع استراتيجية جامعة السويس ورؤية مصر 2030 وأهداف التنمية المستدامة.

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heneigal, President of Suez University, expressed his sincere congratulations and pride on the occasion of Suez University’s first-ever appearance in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026. The University ranked 23rd among Egyptian universities, out of 47 participating Egyptian universities, and 911th among universities worldwide.
The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings is an international ranking that evaluates universities’ efforts in the field of sustainability through a range of indicators covering infrastructure and environment, energy and climate change, waste management, water, transportation, as well as education and research related to sustainability.
The University President emphasized that this first appearance represents a new step in Suez University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its international standing and embed sustainable practices across the University. He noted that this achievement is the result of coordinated efforts across the University’s various sectors, faculties, and administrative units.
On this occasion, the University President extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, for his support and backing of the University’s efforts in sustainability and international rankings. He also expressed his appreciation to Prof. Dr. Adel Amer, Director of the Rankings Unit, and to all members of the Rankings Unit for their dedicated efforts in preparing, collecting, and documenting the data and indicators required for participation in the ranking.
The University President also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all faculty members, assistant faculty members, and staff of Suez University, affirming that this achievement would not have been possible without the collective efforts of the entire University community and its continued commitment to improving academic, administrative, environmental, and institutional performance.
The University President concluded by emphasizing that Suez University’s first appearance in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings marks the beginning of a sustained path toward improving its sustainability indicators and strengthening its international presence, in alignment with Suez University’s strategy, Egypt Vision 2030, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
