برعاية أ.د.أشــــــــــرف حنيجــــــــــل رئيـــــس جامعـــــة السويـــــس شارك فرع الطلاب IADC Suez University Student Chapter بكلية هندسة البترول والتعدين بجامعة السويس في فعاليات مؤتمر ومعرض IADC World Drilling 2026 العالمي، الذي أقيم بمدينة إستوريل بالبرتغال يومي ١٦ و ١٧ يونيو الجاري.
هذا وقد مثّل الجامعة الطالب أحمد السيد مباشر (الفرقة الثالثة – قسم هندسة البترول)، والمهندس ماجد الأحمدي (خريج 2024 – قسم هندسة البترول)، حيث أتيحت لهما فرصة الاطلاع على أحدث تقنيات الحفر العالمية، والمشاركة في جلسات نقاشية وتقنية رفيعة المستوى، إلى جانب التفاعل مع فروع طلابية من جامعات مرموقة مثل MIT (أمريكا)، KFUPM (السعودية)، وUTP (ماليزيا).
هذا وقد صرح “أ.د. رئيس جامعة السويس” أنه لا يكتفي بتقديم تعليم أكاديمي متميز داخل أسوار الجامعة فحسب، بل يسعى لفتح نوافذ عالمية لطلابها ليكونوا سفراء لمصر والجامعة في الخارج. مثل هذه المشاركات الدولية تسهم في رفع تصنيف الجامعة وبناء جيل من الخريجين يمتلك المهارات والخبرات التي تتماشى مع رؤية مصر والتطور التكنولوجي المتسارع عالمياً.
من جانبه، أعرب أ.د. عصام أحمد علي عميد الكلية عن فخره بهذا التمثيل المشرف، مؤكداً أن المشاركة ليست مجرد رحلة علمية، بل ركيزة أساسية في استراتيجية الكلية لبناء مهندس المستقبل القادر على المنافسة محلياً ودولياً. كما توجه بالشكر إلى أ.د. عادل عامر وكيل الكلية لشئون التعليم والطلاب، وأ.م.د. نفين علي منسق الأنشطة الطلابية والمشرف الأكاديمي للنشاط، على دعمهم المستمر وتمكين الطلاب من المشاركة الفاعلة في المحافل الدولية.

Suez University Students Shine at the Global IADC Conference in Portugal

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of Suez University, the IADC Suez University Student Chapter participated in the IADC World Drilling 2026 Conference and Exhibition, held in Estoril, Portugal, on June 16–17, 2026.
Representing the university at this prestigious international event were Ahmed El-Sayed Mobasher, a third-year Petroleum Engineering student, and Engineer Maged Al-Ahmadi, a 2024 graduate of the Petroleum Engineering Department. The conference provided them with a valuable opportunity to explore the latest global drilling technologies, participate in high-level technical and discussion sessions, and engage with student chapters from internationally renowned universities, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Saudi Arabia, and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in Malaysia.
Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of Suez University, stated that the university’s mission extends beyond providing distinguished academic education within its campus. It also seeks to open global horizons for its students, enabling them to serve as ambassadors for both Egypt and the university on the international stage. He emphasized that such international participation contributes to enhancing the university’s global standing and helps prepare a generation of graduates equipped with the skills and expertise needed to align with Egypt’s vision and the rapid pace of technological advancement worldwide.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Essam Ahmed Ali, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his pride in this distinguished representation, stressing that participation in such events is far more than an educational trip. Rather, it constitutes a fundamental pillar of the faculty’s strategy to develop future engineers capable of competing at both local and international levels.
He also extended his appreciation to Prof. Dr. Adel Amer, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Associate Professor Dr. Nevine Ali, Student Activities Coordinator and Academic Supervisor of the chapter, for their continuous support and their efforts in empowering students to participate actively in international forums and professional events.
