أعلن أ.د. أشــــــــــرف حنيجــــــــــل رئيس جامعة السويس وبالتعاون مع بنك المعرفة المصري، وفى إطار مبادرة النشر العلمى الجديدة (الوصول الحر للمحتوى الإلكتروني).، عن صدور العدد الأول من مجلة كلية طب السويس

و ذلك تحت إشراف أ.د. شريف فهمي القائم بأعمال نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون الدراسات العليا والبحوث، وهيئة تحرير مميزة من أساتذة التخصصات الطبية المختلفة من داخل وخارج كلية طب السويس، وبرئاسة أ.د. دعاء سيد عميد كلية طب السويس.
يشمل العدد على ٦ مقالات تغطى مختلف التخصصات الطبية للباحثين من اعضاء هيئة التدريس و طلاب الدراسات العليا وكذلك طلاب الكلية من مختلف الدفعات.
جدير بالذكر تصدر المجلة بشكل ربع سنوي (كل ٣ أشهر). و تتيح فرصة النشر العلمى المتميز من خلال بنك المعرفه أمام الباحثين في المجال الطبي من داخل وخارج جامعه السويس.
هذا وقد أعرب أ.د. رئيس جامعة السويس، عن سعادته بصدور العدد الأول من مجلة كلية طب السويس، مؤكدًا أن إطلاق المجلة يمثل خطوة مهمة تعكس تنامي الحراك البحثي بالجامعة وحرصها على توفير منصة علمية رصينة لنشر الأبحاث الطبية المتميزة. وأضاف أن المجلات العلمية المحكمة تعد من أهم أدوات بناء المعرفة ونشر الإنتاج البحثي، وتسهم في دعم التصنيفات الأكاديمية وتعزيز مكانة الجامعات على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي.
وأشار “حنيجــــــــــل” إلى ثقته في قدرة هيئة تحرير المجلة، برئاسة أ.د. دعاء سيد عميد الكلية، على مواصلة تطوير المجلة وفق أعلى المعايير الدولية للنشر والتحكيم العلمي، بما يؤهلها مستقبلًا للانضمام إلى كبرى قواعد البيانات العالمية وتحقيق معاملات تأثير مرتفعة، لتصبح واحدة من المجلات الطبية المرموقة على الساحة الدولية.
ومن جانبها فقد وجهت أ.د. دعاء محمد سيد، عميد كلية طب السويس ورئيس تحرير المجلة، الشكر لمعالي أ.د. رئيس الجامعة على دعمه المستمر للبحث العلمي ولإطلاق المجلة، مؤكدة أن الكلية ستواصل تقديم النشر المجاني لطلاب الكليات الطبية تشجيعًا لهم على ممارسة البحث العلمي ونشر إنتاجهم الأكاديمي، إيمانًا بأن البحث العلمي يمثل العمود الفقري لتطوير إمكانات أطباء المستقبل وبناء كوادر طبية قادرة على مواكبة التطورات الحديثة وخدمة المجتمع بكفاءة وتميز.

Suez University President Announces the Publication of the First Issue of the Suez Medical Journal

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of Suez University, announced the publication of the inaugural issue of the Suez Medical Journal (SUMJ) in collaboration with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB), as part of the new scientific publishing initiative, Open Access to Electronic Content.

The journal has been launched under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmy, Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, with a distinguished editorial board comprising professors from various medical specialties both within and outside the Faculty of Medicine at Suez University. The journal is headed by Prof. Dr. Doaa Mohamed Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, who serves as Editor-in-Chief.
The inaugural issue features six research articles covering a wide range of medical disciplines. The published contributions are authored by faculty members, postgraduate researchers, and undergraduate medical students from different academic years.
The journal is published quarterly (every three months) and provides an outstanding opportunity for researchers in the medical field, both from within and outside Suez University, to publish high-quality scientific research through the Egyptian Knowledge Bank platform.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal expressed his delight at the publication of the journal’s first issue, emphasizing that its launch marks a significant milestone reflecting the growing momentum of scientific research at Suez University and the University’s commitment to providing a rigorous academic platform for publishing distinguished medical research.
He further noted that peer-reviewed scientific journals are among the most important instruments for advancing knowledge and disseminating research output. They also play a vital role in strengthening university rankings and enhancing the University’s academic reputation at both the regional and international levels.
Prof. Dr. Heniegal also expressed his confidence in the journal’s editorial board, led by Prof. Dr. Doaa Mohamed Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, to continue developing the journal in accordance with the highest international standards of scientific publishing and peer review. He stated that these efforts would position the journal for future inclusion in major international indexing databases and enable it to achieve strong impact metrics, ultimately establishing it as one of the leading medical journals on the global stage.
For her part, Prof. Dr. Doaa Mohamed Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Editor-in-Chief of the journal, extended her sincere appreciation to the President of Suez University for his continuous support of scientific research and for his commitment to launching the journal. She affirmed that the Faculty will continue to offer free publication opportunities for students of medical faculties as an incentive to engage in scientific research and publish their academic work. She stressed that scientific research is the cornerstone of developing the capabilities of future physicians and preparing highly qualified medical professionals capable of keeping pace with modern advances while serving society with excellence and distinction.
