● انعقاد مجلس جامعة السويس برئاسة رئيس الجامعة وبحضور معالي الوزير المحافظ

عقد مجلس جامعة السويس في اجتماعه الشهري برئاسة أ.د. أشــــــــــرف حنيجــــــــــل رئيـــــس جامعـــــة السويـــــس، وبحضور معالي الوزير اللواء أ.ح هــــانــي رشـــــاد علـــــي محافظ السويس، والسادة نواب رئيس الجامعة وعمداء الكليات وأعضاء المجلس.

استعرض رئيس الجامعة أنشطة الجامعة خلال الشهر الماضي، وفي بداية الاجتماع قدم المجلس التهنئة لفخامة السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي رئيس الجمهورية القائد الأعلى للقوات المسلحة، بمناسبة ذكرى ثورة 30 يونيو المباركة التي جسدت إرادة الشعب المصري واسترداد الوطن.

أعلن “حنيجــــــــــل” عن تحقيق جامعة السويس إنجازًا غير مسبوق بحصولها على المركز 41 عالميًا في تصنيف THE (Times Higher Education) في معيار “الحياة تحت الماء”، وهو أحد معايير التنمية المستدامة للأمم المتحدة، لتصبح الجامعة الأولى على مستوى مصر والثانية على مستوى أفريقيا في هذا المجال. وأكد رئيس الجامعة أن هذه التصنيفات الدولية تتم وفق معايير موضوعية دقيقة وشفافة، دون أي تدخل، مما يعكس قوة الجامعة في البحث العلمي وخدمة المجتمع والبيئة.

 

كما استعرض “رئيس الجامعة” إنجازات أخرى في التصنيفات العالمية:

– دخول جامعة السويس في فئة 401-600 عالميًا في تصنيف THE العام.

– استمرار الجامعة في تصنيف CWUR 2026 حيث جاءت في المركز 1890 عالميًا، ما يؤهلها للدخول في قائمة Global 2000.

– تحقيق المركز 9048 عالميًا من بين 37448 جامعة في تصنيف UNIRANKS.

– التقدم في تصنيف Best Global Universities 2026 بـ 96 مركزًا عالميًا، والوصول إلى المركز 21 محليًا.

 

أعرب السيد المحافظ عن تقديره الكبير لجهود الجامعة في مختلف الملفات، مؤكدًا أن هذه الإنجازات تمثل مصدر فخر لمحافظة السويس ولجمهورية مصر العربية بأكملها.

وأضاف “رشـــــــــاد” أن استدامة التفوق أهم من مجرد الصعود إلى القمة، مشددًا على أن المحافظة والجامعة تعملان معًا لضمان استمرار هذه النجاحات، خاصة مع قرب افتتاح المستشفى الجامعي الذي يمثل نموذجًا عمليًا للاستدامة في خدمة المجتمع والارتقاء بجودة الحياة.

 

وجه السيد المحافظ ورئيس الجامعة التحية للقائمين على ملف التصنيف، أ.د. شريف فهمي القائم بأعمال نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون الدراسات العليا والبحوث، وأ.د. عادل عامر مدير وحدة التصنيف الدولي، والسادة أعضاء الوحدة.

 

ناقش المجلس تقريرًا موسعًا حول جاهزية المستشفى الجامعي للافتتاح خلال الأيام القليلة القادمة، حيث أكد المحافظ أن المستشفى يمثل نقلة نوعية في الخدمات الصحية المقدمة لأهالي السويس، إذ سيتيح منظومة متكاملة من الرعاية الطبية المتقدمة، ويخدم الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والمجتمع المحلي على حد سواء.

 

وشدد معالي المحافظ على دعمه الكامل لكافة الجهود الرامية إلى خروج المستشفى بالصورة المثلى، مشيرًا إلى أن هذا الصرح الطبي سيعزز من مكانة السويس كمدينة رائدة في المجال الصحي والتعليمي. كما أكد على تكاتف جميع المؤسسات الحكومية والخاصة لضمان توفير أحدث التجهيزات الطبية والبنية التحتية اللازمة، بما يضمن تقديم خدمات علاجية وتشخيصية عالية الجودة.

وأوضح “رئيس الجامعة” أن جميع الإجراءات التنظيمية والإدارية والفنية يتم اتخاذها بدقة لضمان افتتاح المستشفى في الموعد المحدد، ليكون إضافة قوية للمنظومة الصحية في مصر.

 

اختتم المجلس أعماله باتخاذ القرارات الخاصة بشئون الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والدراسات العليا، فضلًا عن خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة.

Suez University Council Convenes Under the Chairmanship of the University President and in the Presence of the Governor

 

● Suez University Achieves Historic Milestone: Ranked 41st Globally, 1st in Egypt, and 2nd in Africa in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings

 

● Ahead of the Opening of the University Hospital, the Governor of Suez Affirms that Sustaining Excellence Is More Important than Reaching the Summit

The Suez University Council held its monthly meeting under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of Suez University, in the presence of H.E. Major General Hany Rashad Ali, Governor of Suez, along with the university vice presidents, deans of faculties, and members of the University Council.

 

The University President reviewed the institution’s activities over the past month. At the outset of the meeting, the Council extended its congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on the anniversary of the glorious June 30 Revolution, which embodied the will of the Egyptian people and marked the restoration of the nation.

 

Prof. Dr. Heniegal announced that Suez University had achieved an unprecedented accomplishment by ranking 41st globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings for the “Life Below Water” Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 14). This achievement makes Suez University the highest-ranked university in Egypt and the second highest in Africa in this category. He emphasized that these international rankings are based on objective, rigorous, and transparent criteria, free from any external intervention, reflecting the university’s strength in scientific research, community engagement, and environmental sustainability.

 

The University President also highlighted several additional achievements in international rankings:

 

Suez University entered the 401–600 global band in the overall Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.

The university maintained its position in the CWUR 2026 Rankings, placing 1,890th globally, qualifying it for inclusion in the Global 2000 list.

Suez University ranked 9,048th worldwide among 37,448 universities in the UNIRANKS rankings.

The university advanced 96 positions globally in the Best Global Universities Rankings 2026, reaching 21st place nationally.

 

The Governor expressed his deep appreciation for the university’s efforts across various sectors, stressing that these achievements are a source of pride not only for the Governorate of Suez but for the Arab Republic of Egypt as a whole.

 

Major General Rashad stated that sustaining excellence is more important than merely reaching the top, emphasizing that the Governorate and the University are working hand in hand to ensure the continuity of these successes, particularly with the imminent opening of the University Hospital, which represents a practical model of sustainable community service and enhanced quality of life.

 

The Governor and the University President also commended those responsible for the university’s international rankings, namely Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmy, Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Adel Amer, Director of the International Rankings Unit, and all members of the unit.

 

The Council reviewed a comprehensive report on the readiness of the University Hospital for its official inauguration in the coming days. The Governor affirmed that the hospital represents a qualitative leap in healthcare services for the people of Suez, offering an integrated system of advanced medical care while serving students, faculty members, and the wider community alike.

 

His Excellency reiterated his full support for all efforts to ensure that the hospital opens in the highest possible standard, noting that this major medical institution will further strengthen Suez’s position as a leading city in healthcare and higher education. He also emphasized the importance of cooperation among all governmental and private institutions to provide the latest medical equipment and infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services.

 

The University President confirmed that all organizational, administrative, and technical procedures are being implemented with precision to guarantee the hospital’s inauguration as scheduled, making it a significant addition to Egypt’s healthcare system.

 

The Council concluded its meeting by approving decisions related to student affairs, faculty affairs, graduate studies, community service, and environmental development.
